Montgomery County Department of Economic Development Honored at the 2015 SEDC Annual
The Montgomery County, VA Department of Economic Development received an award for a marketing piece at the SEDC Communication Awards Ceremony. The awards ceremony was held during the 2015 Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC) Annual Conference, July 26-28, 2015 in Savannah, GA.
“These annual Communications Awards recognize and showcase the leading marketing work done by economic development professionals throughout the south. The Montgomery County (VA) Department of Economic Development hit the mark this year with its marketing campaign. The campaign not only showed creativity, but also solid messaging and effectiveness at reaching its target audience,” said SEDC President Gene Stinson.
The Communication Awards are awarded each year by the SEDC. Over 20 categories of marketing work submitted by SEDC members are evaluated within four division size levels. The awards are: Best of Show, Best of Class, Superior, Excellent, Merit, and Special Judges’ Awards. Judging criteria for General Entry Awards include Graphic Appeal, Clarity of Message, Quality of Information, Positioning/Differentiation and Format.
The Department of Economic Development received an Award of Merit for its 2014 Economic Development Annual Report for Montgomery County, VA, in the small division.
