Blacksburg firms named to Inc. list of fastest growing companies

Two Blacksburg-Montgomery County companies recently made Inc. Magazines’ list of the 5,000 fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States. The 2010 “Inc. 500|5000” list ranks companies based on overall revenue growth from 2006 to 2009.
Modea, a digital services agency that creates results-driven digital content and campaigns for a diverse group of recognizable consumer brands, ranked 221st overall and saw its revenue grow an astounding 1,335% ($3.3 million) during the three year period. Within the Advertising & Marketing industry, Modea ranked an impressive 27th in the country.
Harmonia also made the list at 4,474th with 19% ($400,000) revenue growth from 2006 to 2009. The company develops software and provides SOA implementation, program and project management, and requirements and systems engineering products and services. When compared to other companies within the software industry, Harmonia ranked 258th nationally.
