MegaBus brings daily routes from
Christiansburg to DC and Knoxville

Residents throughout the Roanoke and New River Valleys can now travel to Washington, DC and Knoxville, TN for as low as $1. Starting on December 15 a new bus service, MegaBus, will begin operating a direct route from Knoxville, TN to Washington, DC along I-81. There will be three (3) trips per day passing through our area with the only stop being at the Falling Branch Park and Ride stop located off of I-81 at exit 118A in Christiansburg (Get Directions).
The estimated time that Northbound (Knoxville to DC) buses will stop at the Falling Branch Park & Ride lot is 1:20 p.m.; 5:20 p.m. and 3:10 a.m. The Southbound (DC to Knoxville) buses are project to stop at 12:05 p.m.; 4:05 p.m.; and 1:15 a.m (view mega bus schedule).
MegaBus riders can park at the Falling Branch Park & Ride stop or commute in via the Smart Way Bus Service which has stops in Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Salem and Roanoke (view Smart Way map).
Megabus, a subsidiary of Coach USA, launched in April 2006 and has served more than 7 million travelers. In addition to low fares, MegaBus offers customers environmentally-friendly buses, free Wi-Fi, power outlets and restrooms.
To celebrate this expansion, MegaBus is offering 10,000 free seats for travel Dec. 15 through Jan. 15. The free seats will be available on megabus.com departures to and from the 11 Washington expansion cities. Customers will need to use the promo code ILUVDC when booking their tickets via www.megabus.com (subject to availability on select dates, routes).
